Why my indoor plant dying?
我的室內植物為什麼死亡？

1. Dry Air and heat 乾燥和炎熱的溫室

A glass window room will trap the heat energy and raise temperature, therefore killing the plant if there is no air circulation on weekends. The indoor environment sometimes become hostile to the plant. They become soft and sometimes burn the edges.
星期六日辦公室沒有通風的，落地大玻璃下，在炎夏室溫明顯三十幾度下, 植物就會軟身或者被過度日照燒傷。

Most indoor plants grow naturally in humid environments. Some other plant such as Cactus and succulent require dry environments.
多數植物喜歡濕潤的環境，只有些沙漠植物如仙人掌需要乾燥和日照。

Kitchens and bathrooms generally offer appropriate humidity levels for indoor plants.
喜歡濕潤的環境的植物，可以放在廚房或廁所的流水台附近。

By grouping plants together also can increase the humidity in other rooms.
將植物集中放在一起亦可提高濕度，改善植物狀況。

2. Over Water result in root rot. 水過多浸至根腐爛

Root rot is a condition found in both indoor and outdoor plants, although more common in indoor plants with poor drainage. You have to discard your plant and start over again.

水過多浸至根腐爛的情況多數在沒有去水孔的花盆出現。沒有適合的疏水陶粒，根部會漫爛，要棄置重新選有孔或儲水花盆，才能改善好的植物。

To avoid root rot, it is best to only water plants when the soil becomes dry, and to put the plant in a well-drained pot. Set up your plant using proper soil mix in case the pot has no drainage. Use self-watering integrated pots for indoor.

要改善去水的土壤，泥土乾的是候加水，或使用儲水花盆，根部會生長得好，植物更健康。

Peace lily (Spathiphyllum)
白掌植物

Recommended by NASA clean air study 1989, the peace lily is one of the top plant that eliminate significant amounts of benzene, formaldehyde and trichloroethylene.
白掌植物有效去除空氣中的有害物質。

They are easy to care and will rebloom even at household light.

非常易打理，在室內的燈光也可生長。

Light: Prefers medium, indirect sunlight. Yellow leaves indicate the Peace Lily is getting too much light. Brown spot and streaks indicate direct sun rays have reached the plant and scorched it. Peace Lilies do fine under florescent lights and some have been known to thrive in rooms with no windows at all!

要光線明亮，不要直接射到最好。葉黃表示太多陽光，葉轉啡是因為直射的強光燒傷。轉放置到日照比較少的地方，即使只是燈光下也可生長。

Water: Many growers wait for the plant to droop slightly before watering, allowing the plant to tell them when it’s thirsty. In general, water at least once a week and spritz the leaves with soft or distilled water throughout the summer growing season. Water plant less in winter.

通常是等到植物乾到軟的時候才把水加進去，如果不想這樣就每星期灑水吧！

If your municipal water system is heavily chlorinated, fill a container with water and then allow it to stand overnight so the chlorine can percolate out before pouring into the Peace Lily. Peace lilies can be sensitive to chlorine.

如果水有氯氣，會使葉尖變黃，請用隔一天的水澆植物。

Holland houseplants advantage & disadvantage
荷蘭室內植物的優點和缺點

Advantages優點
1. Growth in better soil. Garden soil (black soil) will be used in the potted plant. Clean and hygiene. 種植於黑土或園藝泥土，比較乾淨衛生。

2. Better indoor plant.They are better if we use them indoors at air-conditioned room because the temperature will be easier for them to survive.
比較適合美化室內，生長於空調的溫度。

3. Bugs free. Most nursery are located in a confined area without bugs and insects. They will less likely to catch disease and no insect outbreak after located in your office.
沒有昆蟲滋生，因為與外界絕緣的種植場，很少蟲害發生在搬入室內之後。

Disadvantages缺點
1. They need air-freight transport. These transportations make up a huge cost of the plant. The heavier or the taller the trees are, the more transport cost they incurs.
高昂的運費，從荷蘭到香港的空運運費比陸路或船運貴得多。植物越大越重，價錢就越貴。

2. Holland plants cannot withstand the hot and hostile outdoor environment in Hong Kong. We recommend only for indoor use. Holland also have some tropical and south east asia plants as well. However, local trees or China trees seems to be more adaptive to outdoor in a hostile environment and therefore a longer life compare with the same holland species.
荷蘭植物不太適合室外香港的炎熱天氣，所以只能用於室內有冷氣的地方。本地或大陸的植物比較容易生長的於室外。

3. Some specialty tree will take some effort to transport from different regions of European to Holland. They take a longer freight. A longer search efforts if there a lack of inventory in Holland.
有些植物要較長的時間在不同的歐洲地區搜尋。所以不是時常有的植物，要比較多時間等候。
